At Elephant Butte Lake State Park Campground, you’ll find a diverse selection of campsites, including many in close proximity to the water. Choose from 150 developed camp sites in 3 areas of the park; 130 sites have electricity.

Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash.

Campsites on the beach are available on a first-come-first serve basis, but electrical sites at Desert Cove, Quail Run, Lions Beach and South Monticello may be reserved between March 1 and September 30, either online or by calling 877-664-7787.

Campsites at Elephant Butte’s Long Point and other northern camp areas typically close in the fall and reopen in the spring.

The largest and most popular lake in New Mexico, Elephant Butte Lake and the State Park provide a setting for every imaginable water sport. The visitor center near the main gate offers regional interpretive exhibits.

Immerse yourself in breathtaking vistas, abundant sunshine, and a range of activities such as fishing, boating, and bird-watching.
