A very big thanks to those who have donated to the Elephant Butte Lake Fish and helped us to reach our goal of $20,000! On Wednesday, May 6th, approximately 20,000 Black Bass will be delivered to Elephant Butte Lake with the assistance of the New Mexico Game & Fish Department. The fish, which are 4 inches long, are coming from the Dunn Fish Farm, located in Ada, Oklahoma.

We are asking for volunteers to help with taking the fish from the truck to the boats and then on out to distribution points around the lake. So, please join us at 9:00 am on Wednesday, May 6th, at the courtesy boat ramps by Marina Del Sur. If you have a boat, please bring along a large cooler (with no ice) to store the bags of fish. Those who can come help with this community venture, will be most appreciated.

Our plan is to continue with the Elephant Butte Lake Fish Fund to raise enough funds for a second stocking. We appreciate so much the support that we have received in this initiative to help make Elephant Butte Lake a very productive one for anglers once again. For more information, please contact Ron Gilworth at 575-835-8123. Thank you very much for your support!
