Register today for the Free Open House at Spaceport America!
On April 7 2019, the Spaceport will open its gates to visitors for an inside look at the world’s first purpose-built commercial spaceport. Space enthusiasts from New Mexico and elsewhere will want to take advantage of this opportunity — possibly the last chance to see the facility before Virgin Galactic begins test flights from New Mexico. (Richard Branson recently said he’s aiming to fly from Spaceport America in July.)
The April 7 Spaceport Open House is being held in conjunction with the Las Cruces-based Space Festival 2019 set for April 6-13.
The tour will include access to the Gateway to Space (hangar) and other facilities at the Spaceport site. Fun, hands-on educational activities and demonstrations will be happening at the horizontal launch area, so bring the kids!
The first 1,200 vehicles to register will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Vehicles must have more than two passengers and no more than eight. The first 600 vehicles will be allowed to park at Spaceport America from 10 am. The second wave of 600 vehicles will be allowed in from 12:30 pm.
The person who makes the online reservation must be present in the vehicle with a government-issued photo ID.
Multiple applications are not permitted.
