Entries from NM, TX, CO, OK, and AZ! Classes (youth and adult) include heifers, cow-calf, steers, and bulls in halter and open divisions. Vendors, arts and crafts are also on hand. Presented by the Texas Longhorn Breeders Association of New Mexico.

GATHERING OF QUILTS

Beautiful work by local quilters as well as historic quilts are displayed. Demonstrations, vendors, and quilt appraisals are available throughout the weekend.

Held annually since 1950, Truth or Consequences comes together to celebrate Fiesta with a parade, performances, contests, rodeo, arts and crafts, music, races, and vendors.

ARMENDARIS RANCH TOURS

An annual Fundraiser for the
Geronimo Springs Museum

Each tour visits a different section of Ted Turner's 358,643-acre Armendaris Ranch - home to bison, pronghorn antelopes, oryx, bolson tortoises, aplomado falcons, and one of the largest Mexican free-tailed bat populations in North America. Reserve early; registration is limited to 22 people per tour.

This fishing tournament began in 1991 and unites volunteers who love to fish with disabled and disadvantaged children for a day of fishing in the outdoors.

A pre-Christmas celebration with open houses at studios, galleries, and historic homes in Hillsboro. Events at the Hillsboro Community Center include a silent auction, the $49.99 sale, and vendors selling their holiday wares.

Downtown Christmas Tree lighting at 6pm followed by bonfires, carolers, wagon rides, and holiday refreshments at downtown businesses. Bring the kiddies - Santa Claus will be taking orders!

Elephant Butte Lake State Park

Thousands of luminarias line paths on the beach that lead to bonfires. Grab a cup of cocoa or posole (served by local groups) and join in the caroling or hop on the hay ride.

The Luminaria Walk is sponsored by the Rotary Club; proceeds go to Make-A-Wish of New Mexico.

The Floating Lights Parade begins at 6:30pm, with a special Grand Marshall each year.
